Summary of research work and implementation


1998 – 2001

The initial period of research concerned the frontier of electronics, metrology and medicine. During this period, was created many prototypes of devices supporting a work of both the doctor as well as the rehabilitation process. The main areas of research themes were:

  • The monitoring system objects (including patients) GPS. Under research was created application and electronic module designed to receive data from satellites needed to determine the position, responsible for the transmission of data via radio or mobile land-based system and visualization of both the traveled route as well as the current location on a digital map of the created application. The realized system has been implemented and is still distributed in The Egrotel Company.
  • Photoplethysmography multi-channel system in the diagnosis of vibration syndrome and hypothyroidism. Multi-channel detection system, transmission and mathematical curve pulse in microcirculation. The procedure gives the possibility of obtaining functional morphometric characteristics of biological objects in order to assist diagnosis.
  • Gait pathology assessment system using spatial accelerometric analysis. Uses the spatial arrangement of accelerometers, notice movement as a sequential and multi-faceted angular deviation from the arrow of gravity. Created a digital system enables accurate separation of phases, sequences and symmetry of limb movement and direct impact of these data on clinical parameters and to compare the periods before and after therapy.
  • Laser scanner driver. As part of the work executed was developed computerized control system for laser scanner, to execute the treatments laseropuncture. The prototype is equipped with a possibility of exposure of individual points in a particular sequence or plotting irregular shapes. The proposed solution enables a more flexible and precise therapy.
  • Microcomputer transcutaneous gauge concentrations of chemicals in the blood. Created microanalysis device targeted at patients with bleeding disorders, enabling the transdermal collection of blood plasma without breaching the skin and the performance of its rapid determinations of various chemical compounds. The process of plasma collection is realised using an inverted phonophoresis, which is downloading a pre set amount of plasma close to the disc gel containing the active compounds selected for the identification of substances in the blood. Electronically controlled circuitphoto densitometer determine the extinction of light passing through the colour changing disc. Phonophoresis current circuit parameters, and calibration photo densitometry integrates digital logic, whose functions are displayed on the LCD display or sent via RS 232 to PC.
  • Accelerometrical diagnostics of balance organ and monitoring the treatment process.   • The procedure for monitoring the evolution of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the sacroiliac joints. Preparation of the linear model of the optical density distribution of the articular space in the X-ray images in normal joints and assessment of derogation from the results of similar analysis conducted in ponds during inflammation. Mathematical determination of indicators deviations from the model of physiology at the suspicion of inflammatory lesions may provide additional diagnostic criteria for changes in the sacroiliac joints.

Scoliosis (2004.2005)

  • Scalar approximation to the problem of diagnosis of lateral spinal curvatures. The was developed software for the delimitation of the spine by a photo thermography scalar approximation using the method.
  • Homogeneity as a measure of the features in the infrared temperature distributions. It proposes a new approach to the analysis of measurement point distribution of the harvest occurring in the infrared measurements.
  • A simplified analysis of thermal image of the spine in scoliosis diagnostic.

  • Comparison of known and developed algorithms for analysis of the layers visible on the tomographic image with the rigor evaluation of 3D reconstruction and measurement of the thickness of the layers.
